Huge show this week on the podcast!

We chat with the 1st Annual Andre Sofhob Award for Best Cinematography for 2020 Mr. Tim Thompson.

Tim is one of the rising stars of the next generation of cinematographers and it was awesome to sit down and hear how he is approaching both the work and his career choices.

The game of cinematography has changed so much in the last decade and the path Tim is carving out is very unique.  I know he is a big inspiration to lots of other DPs especially in the Patreon group and so it was great to hear how he is doing it all.

He is certainly one to watch and a very deserving winner to the Andre Sofhob award for 2020!!!

    Enjoy!

    Advanced Cinematography: On Set Training

    It is finally here!!

I have been waiting for the technology to catch up and allow us to take this show on the road.  Seeing the visuals broken down after the fact has been great but building the shots from the ground up is a completely new experience and that is why I am so excited about this new course.

See a project from start to finish and come on set to watch and listen as the shots are built, schedules are constructed, and problems overcome.

I am very proud of the course and it is without a doubt the best, most concise way to learn about my approach to cinematography and to see exactly how I do my job on and off set.

If you are interested in seeing the Framework in action I highly suggest you check it out:

    Patreon Breakdown - Homecoming

On the Patreon Video Breakdown this week we check out Homecoming Season 1 shot by Tod Campbell.

Lots of interesting camera work and framing throughout the series and I really enjoyed the look.

We break down some of the key themes and reverse engineer the choices that made it all possible.
