This week on the show we sit down with Australian director Alex Feggans to chat about his views on the industry, finding his voice in the work, and continuing the creative pursuit.

Alex and I have done quite a few jobs together and his style of directing is why i wanted to get him on the show.  He does his homework, he knows what he is after, and he is open to ideas.

The combination of those 3 elements makes for a fun experience on set and it was great to hear him mention why he operates the way he does.

Be sure to check out his work below and give him a follow.

Enjoy!

In the course I lay out a step by step plan of action to get on commercial production radars and raise the level of your projects by maximising the prep time you have at your disposal.

Patreon Podcast - The Origin of the Framework

The show that started it all.  The concepts that we talk about in this podcast 99% of the episodes originated with the look of House of Cards.

There were films before and even more after but for my own development as a cinematographer House of Cards opened my eyes to the possibility of thinking about lighting and framing differently.

This week on the Patreon Podcast we break down a scene and go over why it works so well and how you can take advantage of the underlying ideas on your next project.
