We have a fun one today with cinematographer Ross Giardina ACS as he talks about his latest work on the film Gold.

I have always liked Ross' cinematography in the commercial space and it is fun seeing him take those skills and apply them in the narrative space.

Be sure to check out his website below for all his commercial work and give him a follow over on Instagram.

Enjoy!

Advanced Cinematography: Location Lighting

You like cinematography.

Me too.

I made a course so I could distill everything I know about lighting an interior scene on location so you could steal all my secrets and make them your own.  I hope it helps.

Patreon Breakdown - Tenet

Long live the sun sandwich.

This week over on Patreon we are taking a long look at Tenet shot by Hoyte.  There are a bunch of carry overs in terms of lighting and framing from last week's episode on Joker so it isn't surprising this film looks great as well.

The basic gist is that if you are good you can do just about anything and make it look nice.  Now the hard part is getting that good.
