This week on the show we are chatting with cinematographer Manuel Billeter about some of his most recent work on the HBO series The Gilded Age.

Manuel has been working at a very high level for a number of years and he is able to share his experience on creating the visuals for large projects.  In our chat we discuss his prep philosophy, what gets him excited about new projects and a whole lot more.

Definitely check out Manuel's past work on his website below.  Most of you will have seen his work whether you realize it or not.

Enjoy!

Advanced Cinematography: Location Lighting

You like cinematography.

Me too.

I made a course so I could distill everything I know about lighting an interior scene on location so you could steal all my secrets and make them your own.  I hope it helps.

If you are interested in seeing the Framework in action I highly suggest you check it out:

Patreon Breakdown - The Harder They Fall

We had cinematographer Mihai Malamaire Jr. ASC on the show recently to chat about his latest work on The Harder They Fall. I wanted to do a breakdown following up on that conversation as this film doesn't look anything like your typical western.

A large number of the normal tropes of the western genres seem missing and we breakdown exactly why that is and discuss the choices that lead to the end result.
