I am a big fan of Martin's work both in the narrative world and in the commercial space so it was a real treat to get him on the show to hear about his approach.

Over on Patreon this week we are breaking down The Descendants shot by Phedon Papamichael ASC. An interesting case study in just how hard a straightforward approach to a film can be.
It was also interesting revisiting a film from a decade ago to see just how far cinematography has progressed both in the technology being used and the styles that people adopt.
