Today on the podcast we are chatting with L.A. native Veronica Bouza about her work as a cinematographer.

Veronica has taken an interesting path to get to where she is today and hearing what motivated her at different stages in her career to continue to pursue cinematography made for a great show.

Advanced Cinematography: Location Lighting

New course is up!

In this course I introduce my method for approaching cinematography from the most basic level and lay out each decision along the way.  When I think about the work I break every possible scenario into one of 5 buckets and go from there.

Doing so allows me to focus more time on what I can do and less on what is not as effective.  In this latest course we go over one of these 5 scenarios and I explain how I use a system to allow me to deliver the best results.

If you are interested in seeing the evolution of my approach to cinematography I highly suggest you check it out:

Patreon Breakdown - Silence

Silence is the name of the game this week over on Patreon.  Shot by Rodrigo Prieto ASC AMC this film was one I vividly remember coming out post Alexa where he and Martin Scorsese made the choice to shoot on film.

It has some very strong looks throughout and a number of scenes that put a slight spin on what we have covered in the past so this was a fun one to breakdown.
