Show Notes

In this episode of The Wandering DP Podcast we finally catch up with a DP I have been trying to chat to for a few months now, Mr. Stefan Duscio.  Stefan is an Australian cinematographer who has shot some of my favorite australian commercial and music video work and also has an ever growing list of feature film credits to his name.

I am a big fan so it was great to sit down and hear his story and how he approaches the art of cinematography.  Be sure to check out a small selection of his work below.  Enjoy!

TWDP 016: What You’ll Hear in this Episode

In our chat we focus on how Stefan got his start in cinematography including a chance encounter with a little known DP by the name of Andrew Lesnie at a movie theatre just outside of Melbourne Australia.  We also hear about Stefan’s process on commercial work and feature film prep.

This week’s inspiration corner is a website from one of my favorite DPs Nicolas Karakatsanis.

It is his personal dumping ground for photos and inspiration called “The Skeleton Herald”.

Check it out if you are looking for some nice images to help you expand you cinematic influences.
